Learning and Unlearning
To see the connection between the United States of America and the Biblical times leading up to the Exodus we must learn a few new things, and unlearn some old fallacies.
When the Covenant was given
​
Following the trail of the Biblical Patriarchs, adding up the years given in the passages of Scripture, we can discover treasures.
We can even find a window of time when God entered into Covenant with Abram and gave him a 400 year prophecy concerning his seed.
Length of the Egyptian Slavery
​
People argue about how long the Children of Israel were slaves in Egypt. In one place the Bible seems to say 400 years. In another it seems to say 430 years. Which is it? Does the Bible actually contradict itself?
No. It never contradicts itself. Only our lack of undersanding makes it seem to contradict. These passages must mean something else.
The Year of the Exodus

Knowing the approximate lenth of time for the Egyptian Slavery, we can come up with an approximate for the Year of the Exodus.
Using the cycles of the Jubilee years, we can line it up exactly.
Not all Israelites are Jews
​
All Jews are Israelites, but not all Israelites are Jews. Just as all Cadillacs are cars, but not all cars are Cadillacs.
To say, "A Jew from the tribe of Dan," would be akin to saying, "An Apache from the tribe of the Cherokee."
Adopted is no longer Gentile
​
To call oneself a Gentile follower of God is akin to calling oneself an Atheist Christian. This is a contradictory statement and no such person actually exists.
Time span of the 10 plagues
​
When reading Exodus it's easy to imagine the plagues in Egypt coming one right after another in 10 days time or less...
...until one reads more carefully.
